Actually kid's full suspension bikes hardly make sense for daily use - but what will you do if your youngster becomes an ambitious freeride / downhill fan?
That's why we are currently investigating possibilities to realize a very lightweight full suspension bikes that can handle even toughest rides. For first tests we found an extra small frame set that's geometry is applicable for driver's heights of less than 1.35 m.
The first test runs with the (yet unpowered) bikes have already been completed in the bike park Hahnenklee/Bocksberg beginning of August 2016. The result was almost a desaster for the designer of that bike, trying to keep up with our "CTDO" (chief test drive officer) Ben.
Ben was right away so damned fast and familiar with his new bike that we could hardly believe our eyes.
Currently we are looking for a frame supplier who is willing to produce a full suspension frame according to our specification. The current fram with its net weight of 2.95 kg (without shock absorber) is definitely too heavy. But we already see some significant potential to put the frame on a "diet".
